Ned McDodd is a special guy in search of a special home. He has been with us a good while now, hoping that his perfect forever home will notice him. Please read more about him and maybe you will discover that home is with you!

Ned is a 5-year old terrier/chi mix, weighing about 12 pounds. He has a cute mohawk and a spunky personality to match. His favorite past times are playing with squeaky toys, running madly around the house, and cuddling up to his foster mom and giving kisses. He is a high-energy guy who needs a fenced-in-yard for playtime and a cozy lap for cuddles.

Based on our observations of Ned in foster care, we can tell he had a rough start in life and we know he needs that extra bit of patience that the right forever home will have. Ned has made tremendous progress in foster care, and we've also determined what he needs in a forever home to be successful. 

Due to Ned's history, we would like his new home to be dog-savvy, willing to give him the time to get used to them and trust them. We also recommend they continue attending training to assist with bonding as well as behavior. Ned attended weekly obedience training and did great.  He knows "SIT," "STAY" and "WAIT." 

Ned's ideal home would be quiet with no small children and where he would be the only pet. He would be fine crated while his person is at work, as long as he gets regular exercise in the yard/on walks, to expend his energy. He will chase a squeaky toy to his heart's content.

In the right home - Ned will do great and will be a sweet, loyal companion that loves going for car rides or long walks. They will be rewarded with a funny, loving dog that will love nothing more but to snuggle up to his owner under a blanket and go to sleep.
