Cindy Lou Who (aka Lulu) is a Chinese Crested girl with a curly mop top and a goofy little personality. She likes snuggle up with her person, and lounge in her doggie bed. And snore. She's a little wiggle worm and when she's excited she makes really funny noises, like she's talking to you. Holding Lulu is like holding a baby... she rests her head on your shoulder and hugs you back. She comes out of her shell more and more every day.

Lulu came to us a bit of a chunky monkey (17.5 pounds), so we're hoping our daily walks and a healthy lifestyle will get her back into shape for her forever home. She's down to 12.5 pounds and is feeling so much better. We hope her forever home will support her weight loss and good health with a sensible diet and exercise plan.

She loves to go on walks and goes nuts when the leash comes out! Although loud cars and trucks used to make her a bit nervous, she doesn't even notice them any more. She's house trained and will potty on a walk or in the yard, even if it's raining. She is quite low-key and mostly sedentary, and so probably isn't the kind for hikes in the woods. But she'd love to accompany you downtown for dinner on a patio, or a light walk where she can sniff the flowers. She is a little shy, but friendly with strangers and wags her tail like crazy when she's happy.

Cindy Lou is being fostered along with dogs and cats, and she gets along with all kinds of people, too. She basically ignores the cats but she is interested in the other dogs and likes to follow where they go in the yard. She also likes to pee where the boys pee. She's just one of the gang already.

Cindy Lou is an older dog and so she will come with some problems typical for this breed as they age. She does have dry eye in her right eye, which responds very well to daily meds/drops. She also has a grade 3 heart murmur, which does not require medication at this time. She has a very slight umbilical hurnia which does not require surgery but needs to be checked.

As a senior dog (9 years old) she is eligible for the Golden Opportunity Program, which gives a discount on the adoption fee to senior households 62+. Cindy Lou would do great with a home where she has company around most of the time... either people or other dogs.
