Doc is a sweet, cuddly Chinese Crested male. He's a true hairless, with hair only on his head, feet and tail, and great skin! He's got an awesome tongue that he shows off to everyone... all the time. Classic face! And he's a stocky 15 pounds of muscle and energy. It's hard to believe this guy's an older dude, estimated somewhere around 8-9 yrs old. He is full of spit and vinegar and loves to be out and about in the world!

Doc is affectionate, eager to please, and loves to be in your lap or under the covers right next to you. When he wants something, he'll let you know with a little whine or paw. He bonded very quickly with his foster mom and is eager to meet new people, kids or adults. He has done well on his house training, but needs to go outside every 4-5 hours. We are hoping to find him a home where he won't be left alone for a full work day without a break.

Doc would be fine as an only dog, or joining a very balanced, confident pack. He is fine with the (very dog-savvy) cats in his foster home, although he does bark and chase them once in a while. We would not recommend him for a home with cats that have never been around dogs. As far as getting along with other dogs, although there was some initial posturing with the male dogs, his foster brothers are confident and everyone goes about their day without incident.

Doc's been to the vet for a thorough evaluation. He is very fit - especially compared to other dogs his age- and at an ideal weight. He tested HW negative and is up to date on all his shots, is neutered, and microchipped. He does have some cloudiness in his eyes which might be the start of cataracts or just showing his age. He also has a heart murmur, somewhere around level 3-4, but no other signs of concern.

Doc gets attention everywhere he goes. And he's fine with that... loves meeting new people and is quite friendly with strangers. He will provide endless entertainment to his forever family!
