~ A D O P T E D ~
Taylee is a high-energy, 18-month-old true hairless Chinese Crested with belly spots and a chocolate jacket. She also has this tiny little "soul patch" of hair on her back just above her tail. This medium-sized girl loves giving tight hugs and pressing into you firmly for more. She is extremely intelligent and is mostly aware of her new surroundings before jumping into anything first.
Although she is an adult, Taylee demonstrates the behaviors of a 8-10 month old with lots of energy and puppy-like antics. She enjoys instigating the others into playing with her. She will creep up to them from behind and bark very loud over and over until she get their full attention. Because Taylee can come on a bit strong for some dogs, she needs to be matched carefully. Taylee strongly needs a Forever Home with at least one well-balanced, very high energy, submissive canine playmate, close to her age that is 20 pounds or less.
The social stimulation that Taylee has received since coming into foster home has really opened her personality. Tay Tay LOVES to play with balls and will fetch them for you to toss again. Another thing she loves is playing with squeaky toys. It's even better to play if she can manages to get the squeaky OUT of the toy. When she does this she is in no hurry to destroy it, tossing and playing with it for long periods of time.
This youthful girl's house manners are quite good-- housebroken, stays out of the others dinner bowls, can be barky and enjoys playtimes as well as snuggle times. She rides well in a car and even in a shopping cart, staying settled in her spot. She does have lots of curiousity and smell everything her little nose comes in contact with. The behavior that needs extra attention is her tendency to jump up onto your legs from behind. In the evenings Tay Tay settles quietly with a chew hoof or loves to snuggle exceptionally close for TV time.
Taylee is extremely athletic, agile and energetic from the GROUND to the MOON. She can easily jump up over 40 inches to the back of our sofa without even a running start. Her surrender owner stated she was an escape risk and very hard to recapture if she gets loose. Since she does not do well on leash walks Tay Tay MUST have a fenced yard to romp, play and run. The fence must be 5+ feet privacy so she is not able to climb or jump over it. Regarding leash walking, Taylee must be walked using a secure harness because she pulls heavily on a standard leash and collar will choke her.
Taylee is loving and craves lots of human closeness. Even though she crates for overnight slumber, her dream would be nestled up next in bed with her forever person at night. She will make an ideal companion and addition for the right devoted home. The more love you give, the more love Taylee will return.
Bald is Beautiful's goal is to find the best possible Forever-Home match for each and every dog. With this in mind, Taylee will need to be placed where her new family is home more than away. Preference will given to applicants with a stay-at-home, work-from-home or very flexible schedule.
