WE ARE PLACING A HOLD ON NEW APPLICATIONS FOR JILLY WHILE WE REVIEW THE ONES WE'VE ALREADY RECEIVED. THANK YOU.
Jilly Bean is a happy little terrier mix (our guess- Havanese? Lhasa Apso?), weighing in about 14 pounds and estimated 2 years old. And boy, is she cute! People comment on her adorable looks wherever she goes. She is a little shy at first, but it doesn't take long for her to come to her person for chin scratches and treats. She is an excellent hugger! She is happy and high energy, and full of love.
We've learned a lot about Jilly in her foster home. She is an active girl who loves to play and must have need an ACTIVE COMPANION DOG in her new home and a FENCED IN YARD for plenty of zoomies. A well balanced, friendly dog buddy will help her gain her confidence in her new home. She can be pushy sometimes and can play rough. She is fine with bigger dogs.
She also gets very nervous around men, so she is going to be placed in a home with WOMEN ONLY, NO MEN IN THE HOME. (Sorry guys...) A confident, active leader will help solidify her confidence, so she can reach her potential. With her level of energy, she needs plenty of exercise and stimulation, as well as expectations for her behavior. (Example, she has been found on the kitchen table more than once.)
Jilly Bean originally came from a hoarding situation, and although she's had a rough start in life, she is young and full of potential. She's being fostered in Greenville, South Carolina, and is spayed, chipped, and up to date on all her shots. Any interested applicant must be willing to drive to pick her up and bring her home.
We are happy to accept applications now, with plans for Jilly to be adopted around June 6 or later. Questions also welcome at email@example.com.
