If you are looking for a fun loving little guy to follow you everywhere, Checkers is the dog for you. He is being fostered in PA and gets along well with dogs of all sizes but prefers companions closer to his stature.  Checkers has not been tested around cats. Checkers prefers older children as the under 8 crowd makes him a bit nervous.  

He loves to go for long walks and does the cutest dance when he sees his leash. He will sit patiently and wait for his treats. Checkers sleeps in his own bed in his foster home but I'm sure he would love to sleep in your bed if you like. 

Checkers learns very quickly and would love to learn a lot of new tricks in his forever home. He would also be a great candidate for agility. He can jump well over 4 feet high from a standing position. Checkers needs a home that will give him lots of toys. He loves to play and tosses  his toys into the air to chase them down again and again. It's the cutest thing. You'll never want for entertainment with Checkers around. 

Checkers would love a family with or without doggie friends. He does not enjoy being crated so he should have a home where someone is home most of the time.
